After joining the Open Geospatial Consortium in November 2015, Helyx has been awarded a contract to participate in OGC Testbed 12 interoperability program.
Helyx were selected to lead on implementation of a Conventional Data Quality Web Processing Service (WPS), and also contributing author on WPS ISO Data Quality Service Profile Engineering Report.
The work plans on focusing on development of a WPS to quality assure authoritative data and output the result In ISO 19139 metadata that conforms to the NSG metadata framework. The aim of the exercise is to assess data assets’ fitness for purpose in a variety of use cases. The results of this testbed will be made publically available on the OGC website after all work has been completed, and will include a WPS Profile for Data Quality resulting from the interoperability experiment.
The testbed kicked off in Washington DC on the 2nd March 2016 and is due to run until the end of November 2016. A link to the OGC initiatives can be found here: http://www.opengeospatial.org/projects/initiatives.
